ATLA Choreographer: Dondraico Johnson

Dondraico Johnson has been attributed with creating for, inspiring, and performing with most of the entertainment industry’s influential performing artists. A the early age of 17, Dondraico connected with Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and began what would become a successful dance career. He had the privilege of touring the world with Lopes’ first recording girl group, BLAQUE, which opened for recording heavyweights TLC and NSYNC. Soon after, Dondraico made the move to Los Angeles and soon was offered the opportunity to perform with Mariah Carey, Beyonce’, Janet Jackson, Usher, Will Smith, Destiny’s Child, Kanye West and many other notable artists. He has had the pleasure of working with major companies such as Diesel, Nike, Adidas, Microsoft and Virgin America, lending his skills to bring their corporate visions to life. He can be seen in feature films such as Gigli, From Justin to Kelly, Footloose, The Comebacks and all four installments of the Step Up franchise.

After establishing himself as one of LA’s go-to dancers, Dondraico turned his sights to choreography. His expertise has afforded him the opportunity to help create the movement for such artists as Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, and even the legend himself, Michael Jackson. Feature films such as Footloose, Step Up 3D, Step up Revolution, Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT, Jack and Jill and most recently the to-be-released, Step up 5 have tapped Dondraico to help conceptualize and choreograph memorable dance scenes. He has worked on every major awards show on television and is proud to to say that he helped create movement for clients ranging from Nickelodeon and Disney to the Super Bowl, Grammy Awards, and Academy Awards.
