ATLA Choreographer: Tricia Miranda
Tricia Miranda was born and raised in Yuma, AZ. She started her training at the age of 4 in ballet, tap, jazz and gymnastics. She started competing at the tender age of 5, winning many scholarships including the “Future Star Award” at Tremaine Dance Conventions and a feature in Spirit Magazine. She became the ballet mistress of Yuma Ballet Theater at the age of 17 and developed her own Hip Hop class at 19. Although she was very successful in the technical and competition world, her passion was always with Hip Hop. Making her big move to LA in 2001, Tricia has managed to make a big name for herself as a dancer and choreographer. As a featured working dancer, she has danced and choreographed for the best! Her dance credits include: Britney Spears, Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Fergie, Destiny’s Child, JLo, Prince, Jay Z, Usher, Jamie Foxx, Will I Am and Tom Cruise at the 2010 “MTV Movie Awards”, just to name a few. Her choreography credits include: X-Factor, Beyonce’s “Diva” video, the feature film “17 Again,” a national NAIR commercial directed by Fatima Robinson, Nick Cannon, Will I Am, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Eve, a national SEARS commercial and Prima J. Her work has been featured on SYTYCD Season 6 and the latest Beyonce “I Am” world tour. She has had the honor of assisting the greatest choreographers in the industry such as Jamal Sims, Fatima Robinson, Frank Gatson and recent works with legendary choreographers Rich n Tone. Aside from all the industry work, Tricia is an internationally known Hip Hop instructor and has taught in Poland, London, Switzerland, Canada, Mexico City and has recently been added as a faculty member of the prestigious Pulse on Tour faculty.
